Bell House Cultra

Having purchased a hidden gem of a site, tucked away down a long drive in Cultra, our clients worked closely with RPP to create a warm family home that maximizes light and the connection to the outdoors.

The positioning of the house on the site and the materials used were carefully considered.

Moving the house to the northern boundary, leaving the remaining site as garden to the south was a key decision. All primary living spaces were designed to face south, creating a natural link between the interior and the garden, with sliding doors providing a seamless connection and ensuring privacy from adjacent dwellings.

A stunning curved stair located at the heart of the house and large full height picture windows flood the house with light and add to the sense of space throughout.

The choice of a subtle brick complements the contemporary zinc standing seam roofing and this together with the beautiful painted timber windows and sliding screens work well together to create a unique, classic home.

Continuing the smart, linear design, the garden has been landscaped in a contemporary design to complement the house.
