We were appointed as Architects and Principal Designers for the New EUROSPAR store at Rossdowney Road, L’Derry by Henderson Group and our brief was to demolish the existing store and adjacent commercial building to provide a new contemporary retail convenience store and petrol filling station with a 3 separate lettable units. The total gross floor area of the development of approx 12,200ft2 has been designed with all storage, staff areas and offices on ground floor to ensure the height of the new building does not impact on the neighbouring residential properties.
The bright, open, modern feel of the store has been designed to be one of the best retail stores of it’s kind in Northern Ireland. The standard palette of materials used by Henderson Group have been incorporated in to the modern design to provide a comfortable retail design. The highly glazed, tall contemporary frontage allows for the light to flood in and out of the shop to provide an attractive location at all times of the day and year.
