RPP designed the new refurbished hospital pharmacy situated within Antrim Area Hospital.
The project for the Northern Health and Social Care Trust involved decanting the existing pharmacy to a bespoke temporary external unit before its refurbishment for the installation of a new pharmaceutical robot.
The updated facility allows automated storage and dispensing of medicines using lasers and barcodes to identify medicines, allowing staff to spend their time more efficiently on wards with patients, ensuring a safer, more effective use of medicines.
