Animal Health Sciences Building (AHSB) for DAERA

RPP are leading an Integrated Consultant Team on the Development of the new Animal Health Sciences Building (AHSB) for DAERA.

RPP are providing Architecture, Interior Design, Project Information Manager, Principal Designer and NEC Supervisor Services.

The new AHSB will provide modern Research and Diagnostic laboratory and support facilities for the Veterinary Sciences Division of AFBI.

Designed over three floors; the new building will be situated within a mature landscaped campus. With Sustainability at the core of the design philosophy, the building will provide a careful balance of fully Air-conditioned laboratory spaces and naturally ventilated ‘write-up’ and support spaces. The building will include a range of spaces for staff breakout and interaction including a cafe and library.

The entire project is being delivered to BIM maturity Level 2.

A PAN notice has been submitted to Belfast City Council and the project is due to be submitted for Full Planning Permission in December 2020 with construction completion in January 2024.
