Belfast Harbour submit first affordable housing project in Sailortown, Belfast

RPP Architects are proud to have supported the planning submission, with Belfast Harbour,  for a proposed residential development comprising 71 homes, predominantly apartments, wheelchair apartments and 5 houses. The development is spread across two adjacent sites and includes amenity space, alteration of existing vehicular accesses from Pilot Street, associated car parking areas, bin and cycle storage.

This site represents an excellent opportunity to further enhance this area of Belfast and complement the residential buildings immediately adjacent. The proposals are for affordable residential accommodation. The scheme proposes a range of new high quality apartments, comprising a mix of one and two bed units with associated communal amenity space and residents’ facilities. In addition, it is proposed to provide secure residents cycle parking and visitor cycle spaces, along with a number of Mews type homes.

These further refined development proposals have been designed specifically for the affordable rental sector and lifetime homes requirements. The development is being brought forward to BCC Planning to provide the affordable accommodation associated with the recently submitted City Quays 4 planning application.
