St. Johns Liverpool, Refurbishment

A series of works, commissioned by Liverpool City Council, at St Johns Shopping Centre in the heart of Liverpool, involved a Markethall refurbishment, Public service facilities via a One Stop Shop and new entrances.

A  £2 million investment from Liverpool City Council, for the Markethall refurbishment, was to include entrances, with a further £1.2 million for provision of a One Stop Shop and associated facilities. Work was undertaken with Graham Construction on these schemes and was to boost the footfall of customers and increase traders within the City Centre hub.

Based over two floors, ground floor market place, with further trading pods at first floor and a One Stop Shop facility, with associated staff offices and a Housing Department. Work started in November 2014 and the final phase concluded in November 2017.

Maximising retail space was a key factor in the design process. The use of vibrant colours and careful lighting ensure the Markethall feels bright and spacious.
